HD Employment Group are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented PCB (Printed Circuit Board) Builder to join our clients team.

As a PCB Builder, you will be responsible for assembling, soldering, and testing electronic components onto printed circuit boards according to design specifications. Your precise workmanship and meticulous attention to detail will play a critical role in ensuring the functionality and reliability of electronic products.

**Responsibilities**:
PCB Assembly: Accurately and efficiently assemble electronic components onto printed circuit boards using soldering tools, following industry standards and work instructions.

Soldering: Perform soldering tasks, including through-hole and surface mount soldering, with exceptional precision and quality, ensuring proper connections and avoiding damage to components or boards.

Quality Control: Conduct thorough visual inspections and functional tests on completed PCBs to identify any defects, errors, or inconsistencies in assembly, and make necessary corrections.

Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and diagnose faults or failures in PCBs, using appropriate tools and techniques, to identify and rectify issues during the assembly process.

Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of the assembly process, including component inventory, work logs, and quality control reports.

Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on soldering equipment and tools, ensuring their proper functioning and safety, and report any malfunctions or repairs needed.

Process Improvement: Collaborate with the engineering team to identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, or enhanced efficiency in PCB assembly techniques.

Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a safe and clean working environment, following company policies and procedures.

**Requirements**:
Education and Experience:

- GCSE or equivalent (technical education or certification in electronics is preferred).
- Proven experience in PCB assembly, soldering, and related tasks.

Technical Skills:
Proficient in through-hole and surface mount soldering techniques.

Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accurate and precise assembly of electronic components.

Dexterity and Hand-Eye Coordination: Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precise soldering work.

Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues and faults in PCBs.

Time Management: Strong organizational and time management skills to meet project deadlines and production targets.

Teamwork: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively as part of a team, liaising with engineers and other team members.

Safety Awareness: Strict adherence to safety protocols and practices to ensure safe working environment.

Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
