The post holder will provide a comprehensive and efficient service to support the Centralised Pre-Operative Assessment service across East Lancashire Hospitals, ensuring a high level of customer care and data quality whilst maintaining confidentiality at all times.

1. Pleasantly greet patients and visitors to the department in a professional manner whilst maintaining privacy, dignity and confidentiality at all times.

2.General reception duties to advise and direct all patients and visitors to teh department.

3. Open and distribute mail to relevant areas

4. Receive and sign for all deliveries to the department and inform relevant personnel.

5. Answer internal and external telephone enquiries and redirect messages to appropriate personnel.

6. Arrange preoperative assessment appointments for nursing and anaesthetic clinics.

7. Record Patients attendance on the EPR system.

8.Preparation and tracking of patient clinic notes.

9. Type minutes from meeting as requested in a timely manner.

10. Support and assist new members of staff during their training.
