Elevation Procurement and Supply Chain are pleased to have partnered with growing business within the metals industry based in Bradford, to find recruit a Purchasing Manager.
Purpose of the Job:
Develop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies along with requisite negotiation, ensuring all deals closed are based on optimal commercial terms in line with objectives.

**Responsibilities**:
*Sourcing steel and performing strategic procurement activities across multiple categories of spend
*Manage and control all the Company's suppliers with particular emphasis on the purchase of materials and equipment, cost, and reliability
*Ensure materials are bought at the most competitive price and delivered within the correct and required time frame
*Monitoring and forecasting inventory, determining purchasing needs and identifying costs
*Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers
*Carry out and review Purchasing function and systems, identify and implement improvements
*Managing procurement budget and preparing cost estimates
*Compiling and maintaining purchase records, supplier databases and procurement contracts
Background:
*Proven working experience as Purchasing or Procurement Manager or Senior Buyer
*Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management
*Highly skilled in negotiation and networking
*Highly IT literate including good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
The Package:
*Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 - dependent upon experience
*Workplace pension (compliant with Auto Enrolment) and Life Assurance
*On-site parking
*Private Health Insurance
*Annual bonus based on achievement of Company financial targets
