Community Foods is also a pre-wholesaler as well as acting as agents and brand holders with a portfolio of organic and natural brands, including Crazy Jack Organic Sanchi and Tarantella and operates a packing and dried fruit reprocessing plant in support of these business sectors.

The individual must be highly motivated, a good communicator and problem solver as well as being a natural self starter and team player.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

**JOB SUMMARY**:
Warehouse Operative will be responsible for ensuring all damaged products are repacked for resale, be able to collate orders and help out with replenish, on an as need basis. Tasks may also be changed throughout the Warehouse Operative employment to meet the demands of the business.

**1: Performance.**

1.1 Ensure that all damaged stock is repacked for resale, be able to collate orders and help out with replenish.

1.2 Ensure that all materials are stored, stacked and distributed according to companies procedures and as instructed by the Warehouse Supervisor.

1.3 Process all necessary documentation within the Warehouse and complete all relevant system transactions.

1.4 Perform a variety of warehouse functions including stocking and shelving.

1.5 Maintain stock inventory and warehouse in a safe, clean and orderly condition; ensure compliance with safety regulations.

**2: Expectations.**

2.1 Reports to work everyday and on time and works extra hours if required.

2.2 Inspect and store goods and materials.

2.3 Operate equipment as necessary for successful job performance.

2.4 Maintain confidentiality of privileged information obtained in the course of work.

2.5 Employee must comply with proper safety policies and procedures as required (i.e. wearing safety shoes and Hi-Vis Jackets)

2.6 Provides excellent level of customer services to both staff and customers.

2.7 The employee must be able to determine the accuracy and thoroughness of the work assigned.

2.8 Observing company Health & Safety Policies.

2.9 Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

- Walk and stand
- Push and pull objects
- Reach and grasp
- Lift and/or move up to 25kgs
- Bend forward
- Repetitive bending and lifting of items
- Kneel down
- Repetitive arm movements

**REQUIREMENTS**

**Education and qualifications**
- **Educated to GCSE std or greater preferably with further in-house or vocational training in food manufacturing.**

**Skills and abilities**
- Team player with a flexible approach to a variety of duties.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Computer skills and familiarity with computerised stock control systems.
- Good attention to detail.
- Proactive i.e. ability to think and plan ahead.
- Determination and drive.
- Familiar with a fast paced FMCG environment.

**Good Working Knowledge / Experience of**
- Preferable - experience with SAP and other ERP systems
- Preferable - WMS or other Warehouse Management Systems
