**Job Description**:
What your new role will entail;
We are now seeking to expand our core team of heritage specialists with the opportunity for an experienced Built Heritage Consultant to join our established environmental team in one of the following hub office - Newcastle, Croydon, Leeds or Bristol.

**The post will entail**:
+ Undertaking research and site visits to inform heritage assessments and setting assessments;
+ Preparation of, or contribution to, technical reports such as desk-based assessments, heritage statements, environmental impact assessments and characterisation studies;
+ Analysing and assessing the contribution that setting makes to the significance of a heritage asset and how this may be affected;
+ Maintaining professionalism and excellence through strong writing skills and behaviours;
+ Management of budgets and workloads to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget;
+ Independent working and taking responsibility for programmes of work and high quality reporting;
+ Liaising effectively with managers, stakeholders and other consultants as required, alongside effective and engaging consultation with statutory and non-statutory consultees.

+ Ability to manage own time and comfortable working both within a team or alone to tight deadlines

+ Detailed knowledge of UK heritage legislation and policy

+ Detailed knowledge of UK built heritage across a range of periods and building types

+ Experience of undertaking the assessment of historic buildings
