Serious and Organised Crime is one of the gravest threats to our national security - blighting communities, ruining lives and costing the UK well over £20 billion every year. Investigations is the core crime fighting capability of the NCA.
We must protect the public from the most serious threats by disrupting and bringing to justice those serious and organised criminals who present the highest risk to the UK. We take an intelligence-led approach and concentrate on tackling the criminals and risks to the public which are beyond the capability or capacity of other law enforcement bodies.
Our work is largely focused on investigating Organised Immigration Crime, Human Trafficking, Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse, Economic Crime, Firearms, Drugs, Kidnap and Extortion and Money Laundering - to name a few.
The Investigations Command provides a flexible, shared operational capability, designed to maximise the impact of the UK's collective resources against serious and organised crime. Our teams respond to a broad range of threats, many of which also remain a responsibility for police forces and other agencies as well as private industry.
The NCA is are looking for committed individuals to join us in a Business Support capacity to provide
vital administrative and professional support within Investigations Command.

The location will be in the Nottingham area which is part of a larger Investigations Command called Midlands, Wales and West with investigative capabilities in Wales, South West and East & West Midlands areas.

Role Summary

**Person specification**:
Key responsibilities are:

- Provide administrative support to the business area, including the preparation of documents, typing and co-ordinating departmental correspondence.
- Arranging meetings, diary management, minute taking, maintain, develop and review office systems/processes.
- Travel bookings including accommodation/cars/ reservations.
- Organise events
- Maintain and develop professional relationships with both internal and external partners.
- Manage the procurement of specialist equipment, uniform and stationery.
- Manage Purchase Ordering System for the Branch around requisitions and purchase orders.
- Provide support for the Regional Coordinator with in the Region.
- Be proactive, self - motivated, have excellent communication skills and the drive to identify process improvements.
- Carry out database searches on internal and national systems and disseminate findings in a professional and succinct manner.
