Executive Assistant to Director

Envirofest International is seeking an experienced, well organised part-time assistant to support the Executive Director, based in Cornwall. The role of the assistant will be to provide regular, hands on support to the Executive Director to help deliver on the mandate to launch Envirofest International including, in the first phase:
- Administrative support; maintaining structure and meeting deadlines, implementing and maintaining procedures and administrative systems
- Communications support; creating content for facebook, linkedIn,website etc. preparing presentations and publicity materials as required
- Stakeholder management; maintaining contact with individuals and groups responsible for setting up and running Envirofest supported festivals (currently Tunisia, Morocco, Grenada)
- Supporting film program, liaising with film distributors and film makers; payment of film rights, obtaining and sharing download links and subtitles, ensuring all necessary items are received
The position will be paid GBP 20/hr. We envisage 40 hours at least partly in person between Launceston and Truro initially, with potential to increase hours if funding is secured.
The position would suit a well organised individual who is a self-starter and can create and maintain a well structured work environment. It would suit someone who is either looking to return to the workplace after a break, or wishing to reduce from a full to a part-time position for family reasons. Interest in environmental / climate issues is essential. Strong organizational and writing skills (in English), planning and ability to meet deadlines are required. French language ability, international experience and experience writing grant proposals, and interest in film would be a plus.
