**Document Controller**

My client are a busy Main Contractor working on multi million pound projects throughout the UK. They have an immediate requirement for a Document Controller to be site based initially on their project in Sheffield and then move onto projects within the SouthYorkshire region once complete.

**The Role**

The role will involve working closely with the site team ensuring the delivery of documents efficiently across a busy development ensuring all personnel on site, including subcontractors, have access to the relevant documents. You will also be required to traininternal staff and subcontractor on the CRM System.

Duties to include:

- Ensure that the Control of Project documentation is carried out in line with the Company Quality Procedures and Design Guides with regard to logging, copy and distribution, storage (electronic or hard copy), document transmittal's, revision control anddrawing / document register
- Liaise with Project Manager and various subcontractors to ensure that document control requirements are met
- To support the Project Manager in the Continuous Improvement Process for Document Control
- Ad hoc duties as directed by the Project Manager to assist the project team
- Assist the Project Manager and / or the Project Engineer as and when required such as producing written documents and reports on document status
- Register all incoming and outgoing project documents, ensuring all documents and drawings are provided with transmittal's
- Maintain an electronic record in the project folder of all documents received and issued
- Extract all relevant documents to be transmitted from the controlled file and compile, in presentation files, full design packages of work including drawings produced on CAD and other required documentation, ensuring that all design packages are presentedin a complete, authorised as Design Guides, common and high quality manner.
- Act as the focal point for the receipt of all documentation as required for projects and distribute accordingly
- Control the archiving of all required project documentation, both electronic and hard copies

*Site Administration duties as & when required.

- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to follow process
- Experience working in construction (ideally site based)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Packages
- Knowledge of A-Site or a similar document management system

In return for your skills & experiences my client are offering a basic salary of £25-30k (dependant on experience)
