**Head Housekeeper**

**Location: Antrim, Northern Ireland (BT41)**

**Salary: circa £25,000 per annum**

**Job Type: Full Time**

Our client are recruiting for a **Head Housekeeper** with a competitive salary circa £25,000 per annum. For a 4-star hotel and award-winning gardens with an AA Rosette Restaurant. Located at the heart of Antrim and dating back to the 1600’s the hotelis home to many luxurious bedrooms ranging from classic to executive suites and to health & fitness club, including fully equipped gym, indoor heated pool, and thermal areas.

**The Role**:
The role as **Head Housekeeper** will be to direct, control and organise staff and resources to ensure the efficient running of all housekeeping functions.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure that all areas under your control i.e., bedroom accommodation, laundry and public areas are cleaned and fully stocked in accordance with hotel procedures.
- Work with housekeeping team with a hands-on approach in a supportive role.
- Carry out inspections of all areas under your control on a regular basis.
- Maintain, control, and safeguard all stock and supplies, ensuring their efficient and economic use.
- Source and liaise with suppliers and review performance/costs on a regular basis.
- To liaise fully with the Laundry to ensure satisfactory standards of service and control.
- Ensure that correct uniforms and name badges are worn at all times.
- To liaise with all departments particularly Front Office, Banqueting and Maintenance.
- Handle and resolve any problems or complaints and communicate these and solutions to relevant departments.
- Maintain wage costs in line with budgetary requirements.
- Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and grooming.
- Comply with all Safety Rules and Procedures e.g., Health and Safety, Hygiene and Fire.
- Carry out any other duties that might reasonably be requested by the General Manager.

**Skills, experience, and qualifications**:

- This role needs some flexibility inline with housekeeping needs and business flow to the housekeeping department.
- Experience in 4-star environment
- Experience of 1-2 years within a similar role is preferable.
