We are looking to appoint a highly motivated individual to provide admin support to the Amble District Nursing Team.

The post holder will provide support to a busy District Nurse Team. You will mainly be required to type letters and reports, other duties will include making and receiving telephone calls, ordering supplies, updating and maintaining computer records, filing, making appointments. You may also be required to provide relief cover for other members of the administrative team as appropriate.

The post will be based at Amble Health Centre, but the post holder may be required to work at other sites within the Trust.

To provide a general reception, clerical and administrative service in support of the District Nursing Team that covers Coquet Medical Group and Widdrington Surgery.

We manage three major locality hospitals at North Tyneside, Wansbeck and Hexham, plus a number of smaller community hospitals and clinics from Tynemouth to Berwick on Tweed, in addition to our state-of-the-art Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, the first of its kind in England. We also care for people in their homes and provide services from facilities in local communities such as health centres. We give people greater choice and control over their care to help them to live independently at home and avoid hospital admission where appropriate. - Ensure immediacy of attention to patients/clients
- Update documentation/records in a timely fashion
- Accepts delegated tasks (written and verbal) and acts on them accordingly
- Maintains high standard of work at all times
- Reports any difficulties to the appropriate authority
- Attends relevant in service training and contributes to induction/training of new staff
- Adhere to Care Trust Policies at all times
- Collaboration with others to achieve an effective, efficient and caring service responsive to the needs of the patients/clients
- Develop personally adopting a questioning and reflective approach to work
