**Job Title: Senior IT Technician**

**Salary: £24,948 - £26,845 per annum**

**Location: WF3**

**Purpose of the job:
To be the day-to-day lead under the direction of the Network Manager and Director of IT for supporting, monitoring and maintaining all IT Services to a high quality and to provide end user support. To be the onsite lead on the maintenance of accurate andup to date documentation and polices for all IT Services and to perform regular monitoring and maintenance of all IT Services and solutions. To be innovative in driving forward the objectives of the client through the use of IT technology, services and solutionsand working across multiple sites.
- Monitoring of support calls - lead the onsite process offering assistance to IT Technicians
- Troubleshooting user problems and providing assistance
- Support all staff in the use of IT Services and provide MIS support
- Support all members of the organisation in their use of ICT
- To lead the monitoring and maintenance of all IT Services onsite including maintenance schedules and safety checks
- Ensure all network services are up and running
- Supervision of any IT Apprentices

The management and effective operation of all IT services including:

- Providing a technical input in the use of new or upgraded hardware/software and recommending and leading on their implementation
- Bespoke Application Management and Support
- Workstation management - hardware, software, peripherals and input/output devices
- Network Infrastructure Management - active network components, data cabling, data ports, network communications and telephony support
- To take the lead onsite on the planning and management an appropriate maintenance procedure for ICT equipment
- To take the lead onsite of the management and maintenance of the IT inventory
- Ensure consumables are sourced and that stock does not run below the minimum requirements
- To take the lead onsite on ensuring all IT Services are kept in good working order
- Provide accurate service reporting and root cause analysis on all reported issues
- Provide “drop-in” nugget training sessions for staff when required
