The Role

This is a full time, permanent position to join our finance team based at our head office in Lisburn. Reporting to the Financial Controller for Europe, this position plays a key role in managing the purchase ledger. Key responsibilities will include:

- Oversee the accounts payable function and, together with a junior accounts assistant, ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports and completion of weekly/monthly bank, credit card and petty cash reconciliations;
- Ensure compliance with company policies;
- Monitor accounts payable processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy;
- Collaborate with the wider business, such as procurement and operations, to ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices;
- Liaise with third party vendors and resolve any issues or disputes related to payments or invoices;
- Prepare and analyse accounts payable reports, including aging reports and cash flow projections;
- Ensure accurate and timely month end and year end processes for accounts payable;
- Assist with audits and provide documentation and support as needed.

Essential Skills & Experience:
Essential
- Minimum 3 years’ experience within accounts payable role;
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices;
- Experience with accounting software;
- Proficiency across the Microsoft office suite; particularly Excel and Word.
- Strong numerical Skills;
- Excellent Written & Verbal Communication Skills;
- Attention to detail and proven ability to work to tight deadlines;
- Ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload whilst maintaining a high degree of accuracy;
- Pro-active with initiative and a strong team player;
- Ability to build and maintain close relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
- Strong Ability to Manage own time & responsibilities;
Desirable
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Experience in fast paced organisation

**Salary**: £28,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
