**Teaching Assistant**

**Location: Paignton**

**Start date: As soon as possible**

**Salary: £75 - £80 per day**

GSL Education are currently looking to appoint a number of experienced
**Teaching Assistants** for our client Schools across
**Paignton** to undertake placements

As a
**Teaching Assistant**, you will work directly with the class teachers to help students reach their maximum potential by providing support, motivation, and encouragement.

**The Job Role**:

- To support children and young people aged 2-16 with special educational needs.
- To provide social, emotional, and academic support on a 1:1 and small group basis.
- To support the class teacher in the delivery of a creative curriculum, outdoor curriculum, or play-based learning curriculum.
- To work in partnership with other support staff, teachers, and outside agencies to ensure each child receives the best education and support.
- To track progress and developmental markers.

**Teaching Assistant Requirements**:

- Hold a relevant Level 2 qualification or higher.
- Have sound knowledge or hands-on experience of supporting people with autism, learning difficulties, social, emotional, and mental health needs or speech, language, and communication needs.
- Be a flexible, dynamic, and reliable practitioner.
- Have a genuine desire to work in the education sector.
