**Role: Pursuits Specialist (Bid Management)**

**Location: London/Hybrid**

**Reports to: Sales Strategy and Bids Director**

**Mission**
- Proactively manage the overall Bid/ Opportunity process and related administrative tasks.
- Understanding the PQQ/RFI/RFP process and manage timelines, responsibilities and responses for the submission in line with client guidance.
- Create and manage opportunity plan for the allocated opportunities.
- Support robust qualification of the allocated opportunities, in line with the DCS documented or agreed processes, enabling decision makers to make informed decision
- Understand and manage any opportunity related risks and issues.
- Track customer requirement changes and document technical and commercial impact of the changes throughout the process and coordinate the technical review with the Customer Solutions and Engineering teams
- Implement any applicable Sales Opportunity Governance in line with the DCS documented or agreed processes.
- Coordinate and enable informed Bid / No Bid decision making.
- Capture and distribute notes of all key conversations, to all the key stakeholders.
- Coordinate and Manage the win / loss reviews and analysis.
- Own and work with Sales, Customer Solutions and other relevant functions to develop response pack to a high standard.
- Manage the output of all contributors to ensure that all elements of the solution and proposal are aligned.
- Contribute to the constant development of the bid library in a prescribed format.
- Ensure non-standard customer contracts are reviewed in line with the DCS documented process.
- Highlight any compliance / contractual failures on opportunities that have bypassed the Bid process.
- Guide key stakeholders on the Sales Opportunity process

**The Team**

This role is based in London and sits within the Bids and Pursuits Team, which is part of the DCS Global Accounts & Solutions Team, reporting to the Sales Strategy and Bids Director. The role is expected to be the trusted guide and mentor to the opportunityteam, leading them to navigate the opportunity process internally and manage the process proactively. The people within the team are highly respected and trusted resource to the sales organisation and DCS SMT, known for their timely support and 'can do’ attitude.

The role will be working very closely with the Technical members, M&E experts and other SMEs for the allocated sales opportunities and to make sure that the solution proposed by them is aligned with;
- DCS stakeholders’ and investor’s expectations
- The customer needs
- The sales and opportunity Win strategy

The Pursuits Specialist is integral to sales process. The role manages an allocated opportunity from the start of the process including the following responses (RFIs, RFPs, PQQs, RFQs etc.) through to contract signature and RFS of the proposed capacity.

**THE SKILLS / EXPERTISE REQUIRED**

The primary role of the Pursuits Manager is to manage and coordinate the output between Sales, Customer Solutions, Commercial, Legal and Operations to pull together a commercially astute, timely and robust response for the sales opportunity.
- Previous experience of working in a busy techno-commercial environment
- Excellent attention to detail
- Clear understanding of strategic proposal management processes, including pre-proposal planning, as well as overall proposal project management
- Good communication skills are required (written and verbal)
- Methodical and highly organised
- Able to work on own initiative and self-manage
- A team player who is seen as a flexible team player

**Desirable**
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- APMP Foundation preferred
- Prince2 Foundation or equivalent preferred
