As the fastest-growing fibre network in the UK, you could say we’re changing things up. Not only are we unlocking the digital potential of an entire nation, but we’re also constantly evolving, to give our people the most seamless employee experience possible. We’re doing this by creating a sense of purpose among our teams and offering career development opportunities the like of which has never been seen before. We’re a company that cares about people, places and new possibilities. Could this be the fresh start you’re looking for?
CityFibre is looking for people with the enthusiasm and determination to connect the country to a better broadband network. Telecoms is an incredible place to start building your career and CityFibre is an incredible company to do that in. Let us tell you why. This fast-paced, exciting industry is ever-evolving. There are endless opportunities for you to grow and a load of different departments within that to choose from.
What makes CityFibre different is the learning and development paths we offer _all_ of our employees. See we’re not looking for people with experience, that will come. We’re looking for passion and potential. There are no corners we can cut in creating the digital future. Only the right people will be able to help us in doing that. So, no matter what your circumstance, degree or not, experience or not, CityFibre is giving anyone the opportunity to be a part of something great.
We think smart, act fast, always back each other and give everything our best. We’re building a legacy, that’s the CityFibre Way. There’s never been a more exciting time to be a part of the team at CityFibre.
**A rewarding career**
We’re passionate about our work and we’re passionate about our people too. With a **starting salary of £** 27,922 + a car allowance**, when you join the CityFibre family you’ll also enjoy benefits like 25 days’ holiday, a day off on your birthday, a day off to support a charity or organisation of your choice, a performance-related bonus scheme, and private healthcare.
**How can you change it up?**
Joining our busy network planning team, you’ll be given responsibility from day one, so you can learn on the job, make an impact and start building your career in planning. It’s a key function in the business to help ensure we’re building fibre networks which are fit for purpose and future proof. Day to day, you can expect to be doing things like:
- Completing job packs
- Undertaking site surveys (with a colleague initially and eventually on your own when you’re confident to do so)
- Documenting site survey findings through drawings and annotated photographs
- Monitoring Salesforce queues and highlighting failing tasks
- Supporting our local Planners by monitoring and maintaining larger scale projects
You’ll be a strong team-player who has the drive and ambition to build a career in network planning. You’ll also bring some of the following with you:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- The ability to manage your time well and prioritise a varied workload
- A willingness to take on responsibility and learn new things
If you’ve just found yourself nodding and thinking, ‘I’d like to do that’, things are about to get exciting.
**Our unique culture**
So that’s the role, now let us tell you a bit more about life at CityFibre. We’ve built a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace that offers _anyone_ the chance to grow a new career. We’re a Times Top 50 Employer for Women, have partnerships with Work180, Vercida and Disability Confidence, just to name a few - it inspires us day-to-day. The foundations of our teams are rooted in respect, development and continuous support. Our people are already changing it up, are you ready to join them?
