Job Introduction
**Role Purpose**

ICT Governance & Compliance Officer (Fixed Term Contract x 12 months)

BCP Council is currently undergoing an exciting and dynamic Transformation programme with Information Technology at the centre of it. We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and diligent individual to join the ICT Governance & Compliance team within BCP’s IT department.

Our continued focus is on ensuring we take the most efficient approach to the management of our assets within ICT, including software. We are looking for someone to join our Licensing & Assurance Specialist to provide the support required to ensure we maintain our focus on optimising our licensing estate across the organisation and that this meets the requirements of our employees and delivers value for money to the organisation.

**Main Responsibilities**

You will have excellent communication and administrative skills, and proven examples of getting the job done with accuracy. The role requires a strong attention to detail, with the ability to take direction and follow required process in tasks such as:

- Collection and recording of license asset information.
- Working with IT Security to investigate and assess new software requests to ensure compliance and compatibility.
- Support with management of license audits/reviews and any follow up investigations into discrepancies. Ongoing housekeeping and maintenance of user reports to ensure efficient spend and use.
- Working with Specialist to identify potential opportunities for savings via collective/bulk purchase agreements.
- Respond to requests from colleagues (both IT and non IT) for specific IT Software Asset Management data information and support

Working within a friendly, fast paced and busy team, you will be keen to learn and deliver a quality service. You will be self-motivated and a strong team player, with the ability to plan and organise your own workload, work on multiple tasks and demonstrate initiative, with the drive to deliver.

Previous administrative experience with a strong focus on accuracy and a methodical approach to delivery is essential. This does not have to be within an IT environment.
