EHS Advisor

**Your Job**
We are looking for a part time EH&S Advisor to join our team in one of our UK offices, either Stoke or Poole.

**What You Will Do**
- To ensure the company environmental, health and safety policy is implemented consistently across the business.
- Develop, implement and evaluate health and safety policy in accordance with the company business plan.
- Develop and deliver employee training needs in relation to health and safety. Develop and deliver training sessions for managers and frontline employees.
- Consult employees on health and safety issues and develop the role of the Health and Safety Committee, Including attending meetings.
- Support managers to maintain safe systems of work and implement best practice, including providing specialist advice and practical support as needed.
- Work with the Health and Safety Officer to ensure assessments are prepared and reviewed as necessary.
- Assist line managers in implementing health and safety systems and procedures to meet specific requirements, such as accident reporting and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH), in a consistent and effective manner.
- To investigate or, where appropriate, assist others to investigate the circumstances and causes of accidents and take the necessary steps to prevent a recurrence including keeping written records of the investigation and action taken.
- Access professional support and guidance from other relevant organisations both internally within the Group and via external sources as necessary, and to share information.
- Contribute to the development of a respectful and mutually supportive working environment.

**Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)**
- NEBOSH Diploma ( or working towards) / NEBOSH General / Construction Certificate
- NEBOSH Fire Risk Management Certificate (not mandatory)
- IEMA Certificate or equivalent
- Internal Quality Auditor

**What Will Put You Ahead**
- Good knowledge of Construction and CDM Regulations.
- Experience of working with ISO14001, ISO45001 & OHSAS 18001 (45001) / HSG 65 standards.
- Working knowledge of U.K. Health and Safety legislation.
