**What you’ll be doing**
We are looking for a **Programme Manager** to lead on the collection, governance and delivery of our critical customer service-focused improvement projects to deliver the greatest return on investment for Thames Water. Working with key stakeholdersand operational SMEs, the Programme Manager will ensure that robust reporting and control are in place to allow the seamless tracking of project progress, identify risks, issues, dependencies & assumptions and facilitate any necessary ‘back on track’ discussions.
The Programme Manager will own the development and collation of content to feed into a suite of meetings at the senior level. The Programme Manager will also lead on the development of scheduled or ad hoc collateral required by either C-level stakeholders,the Board or external bodies.The Programme Manager will own a calendar of regularly required submissions and ensure that all is in place to action these effortlessly, minimising the onus on initiative leads. Inputs will need to be gathered by working proactivelywith various business areas, potentially to tight deadlines. This reinforces the importance of best practice reporting, such that the latest project statuses can be gathered with ease. Working with initiative owners, the Programme Manager will ensure the deliveryof project outcomes, identifying and managing dependencies across the programme.
**What you should bring to the role**
- You will have the ability to identify dependencies and opportunities across wider areas of work, making connections and developing relationships accordingly, whilst driving absolute focus on the priority outcomes of the projects within your remit.
- You will need to demonstrate an ability to think quickly and logically, and to analyse and communicate complex information clearly and credibly.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and engagement skills will be required to secure buy-in to the reporting processes, through the development of positive working relationships with stakeholders.
In addition, to the above, it is expected that the Programme Manager would lead on a number of regulatory engagement aspects including collation and provision of information for external bodies e.g. Consumer Council for Water.
- Prince2 / PPM preferred
