Our client is an established high-quality civil engineering platform offering fully comprehensive solutions to the highways, airfields and road construction sectors. It is a business proud of its customer service and satisfaction records resulting in repeated business relationships.

The purpose of the HSEQ Advisor is to offer support and guidance to employees, teams, and subcontractors when called upon. Whilst you will know the rules and regulations, your instinct will be provide solutions to conundrums, allowing required work to meet regulatory requirements, ensuring delivery of service to agreed commitments and, in a way that is aligned to company values.

As HSEQ you will help drive a positive H&S culture with your team, you will have the ability to coach and develop those working around you, drive initiatives and improve quality on a constant basis.

- Effective HSEQ support in the region
- Monitor and support the operational sites and ensure that HSEQ standards are achieved.
- Maintain Safe and Healthy working relationships in the field, promote a culture of trust.
- Escalate any issues as appropriate, seek help and support from the Senior Team when unclear.
- Maintain personal competency levels and skills through company processes and personal development.
- Lead by example through policies, rules, expectations and legal obligations
- Provide support and legal guidance to teams working and those involved or effected by activities
- Establish and manage good relationships with stakeholders both internally and externally,
- Enhance the company reputation at all times with internal and external stakeholders.
- Deliver effective execution of the HSEQ Roadmap in the region for;
- Site visits
- Incident follow up
- Training interventions - identification of need and part of the solution
- Risk Based Advice
- 2nd and 3rd Party Audits and Certification Support
- Be an effective and collaborative member of the wider HSEQ Team, contribute to

the achievements and continue to develop the functions positive effect on the wider business

**Your education & experiences already attained**
- Black CSCS card
- Health and Safety qualification e.g. IOSH, NEBOSH or equivalent
- UK driving licence
- Written and verbal literacy in English, numerate to GCSE standard or equivalent
- Safety Critical Medical
- Comfortable using a PC, Microsoft Office suite, able to learn to use apps and systems as required
- Train the Trainer, Presentation Skills, Giving Effective Briefs or equivalent

**Education, Training and experiences - Desirable**
- First Aid at Work - SSSTS and/or SMSTS - Cable Avoidance - Cat and Genny - Face Fitting for Dust Masks - Highways Common Induction - Local Authority Street Works

Working knowledge of Asphalt materials and characteristics and surfacing methods and techniques

Nighttime working and able to adapt quickly to night and day working as required

Worked on a range of construction projects and knows how to complete all aspects of the build of any assigned scope of work
