**We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who want to build, grow and develop a career within the energy and renewables sector.**

**Based in Shotts, Lanarkshire you will be working with the Surveying team to gain knowledge, experience and understanding of the sector, products, services and industry standards. Ideally able to drive and with a clean licence, you will split your time between the office and projects across Scotland.**

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Good understanding of Excel in order to filter and mine information coming of the database that we use for valuations.
- Ability to learn how to measure and quantify measures (both from drawings and for measuring on site). This involves being able to understand labour constants, coverage, etc.
- Interest in learning how to price jobs taking into account materials, labour, overheads, and profits.
- Manage sub contractors
- Be interested to learn about contract law.
- Be a good communicator (verbal and in writing).
- Be able to learn how to read drawings.
- interested in construction and the technology of insulation and renewables.
- Be interested in understanding management accounts and project cost to value reports and the importance of stock, work in progress and accruals.

**Salary**: £1.00-£2.00 per hour

**Education**:

- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

- Construction: 1 year (preferred)
- competent IT skills: 1 year (preferred)
