To provide further training in Oesophagastric and Bariatric Surgery with emphasis improving competence for performing cancer resections and bariatric surgery.

This is a 12 month post which will provide an opportunity for the appointee to learn and develop subspecialty-level skill in the management of Oesophagogastric cancer and Bariatric Surgery.

Primarily based at Salford Royal Hospital, with possibility of some activity at other sites

**Main duties of the job**:
This post would be suitable for a Post CCT SpR or for a SpR (ST 7&8) who wish to take Out of Programme Experience (OOPE).

The Salford Royal Foundation Trust is the sole surgical centre for Oesophagogastric cancer surgery for the whole of Greater Manchester (population of 3.2 million. The department also provides bariatric surgery for the Greater Manchester.
