Effluent Plant Operative

**At Ideal Standard we are recruiting an Effluent Plant Operative to join our busy Ceramic manufacturing site based at Armitage in Rugeley. We are the UK’s largest manufacturer of bathroom and sanitaryware.**
In return for your hard work and commitment, we’ll give you full ongoing training on all aspects of the job from day one.
Ideally you will have experience in either a manufacturing or warehouse environment
You'll have a great attitude to work - be a team player and with the physical demands of the role in manual handling ceramic bathroom products.
**Responsibilities**:
**The role covers a variety of duties including**:
- Operation of machinery.
- Be able to work unsupervised as you will often be lone working.
- Maintaining high levels of health & safety.
- JCB driving - training will be provided.
- Operating the effluent press (manual physical work opening and closing the press plates)
- Operating the water treatment plant, involving topping up low risk chemicals (Training and PPE will be provided)
- JCB loading press to lorry
- JCB loading pitcher to lorry
- Cleaning and maintenance of the factory drains (inert factory waste only)
- General maintenance, cleaning and 5s duties.
**This role will involve working day and evening shifts on a 7 days on and 3 days off rota (additional shifts may be required in the event of an emergency)**
