My client is seeking an Interim Finance Manager to join their team in the Guildford office. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Finance Manager will provide a variety of financial and related services to the CEO, Senior Leadership team and Trustees.You will ensure the smooth running of all financial and related functions. You will:

- Understand the major operational functions of the business and any trading subsidiaries to provide input on operational delivery from a financial and business management perspective to ensure high quality, consistent and robust financial and legal managementthroughout the business
- Understand and analyse major bids with sign-off from a financial perspective, identify and agree any risk and required internal financial process and budgetary changes to deliver new business
- Provide input and advice to the one year, three year and any long-term strategic plan
- Keep abreast of developments and changes to financial and legal standards within all sectors
- Communicate required changes, analyse in depth, discuss, agree, and deliver appropriate changes to the financial fabric of the business to always maintain compliance in all areas
- Liaise with external regulators and advisers, such as lawyers and auditors including overseeing the annual audit and preparation of audited Accounts
- Develop and oversee the systems that ensure the company complies with all applicable codes, in addition to its legal and statutory requirements
- Liaise with external bodies such as HMRC, Charity Commission, Companies House etc, including carrying out all relevant functions of company secretary and timely filing of relevant documents
- Monitor the administration of the company's pension schemes
- Oversee and renew comprehensive insurance cover
- Review and enter into contractual agreements with suppliers, customers, and funding bodies
- Build and present budgets for discussion, adjustment and adoption by the senior management team and trustees
- Monitor performance against in year budget, highlighting issues and potential variance to budget, Identify financial risk, raise concerns, make recommendations
- Auditing the work, and reviewing regular reporting and measurement criteria for Debtor Management, Creditor Management, Staff Salary payments, VAT payment and recovery, Staff loans & expenses and all monies within the business
- Provide comprehensive financial reporting against key performance indicators for monthly and quarterly reports, tracking performance against the agreed budget, real time exception, risk analyst, bespoke project reports and reports for all external bodies
- Qualification in ICAEW, ACCA (or recognised equivalent)
- Work collaboratively across the organisation to offer support to all main functions
- Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Have a methodical approach and excellent problem-solving skills
- Be someone who believes in fairness and conducts themselves with integrity
- Be motivated to improve personal performance, outcomes, contribution, knowledge, and skills
- Have strong analytical skills and a good eye for detail
- Flexible and happy to work extra hours when required

Working hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. Flexible hours are offered. You would be required to work across the clients other local sites. Hybrid working offered.
