Exciting new opportunity to join our therapeutic short term specialist children's home in North Petherton and make a real difference to the life of our young people.
- ** Paid an annual salary of £22,880 or £23,920 pa (£11.00 - £11.50 per hr) dependent on qualification.**:
- ** An enhanced pay if you do up to 10 sleep ins per month, topping up your salary with approx. £6,183 pa.**:
- ** To go on excursions (from a beach stroll, cinema, bowling to a trip to Thorpe Park or London to go to a play or musical events) all expenses paid.**:

**Your typical day will look like this**:
- Exciting Excursions: Plan and accompany children on various activities, such as a quiet walk on the beach, cinema, bowling, and even trips to London or the theatre, all expenses covered.
- Daily Household Tasks: Carry out every day domestic tasks to ensure a comfortable and welcoming environment.
- School Runs for each child with provided vehicles.

- Family Connection: Actively support children in maintaining family relationships through visits and phone calls.

**A little bit about our home**:
We look after children and young people aged 8 to 18 years who cannot live with their family.
Working with a specialised programme, as a support worker you will help our children begin to understand their previous trauma and how it impacts on their life. You will do this through providing trauma informed, therapeutic care in a safe and nurturing environment and working with the rest of your team to provide a consistent, positive, and trusting relationships. In addition to the above you will also support our children move towards adulthood by helping them to learn skills such as household tasks, attending appointments and maintaining relationships with family and friends.
We are therefore seeking therapeutic, resilient support workers who have experience providing trauma informed care.
