We are recruiting for a **Customer Due Diligence Team Leader**

The key purpose of Customer Due Diligence / KYC Team Leader is to provide support and oversight to the CDD Team, promoting a healthy culture and efficient processes which allow the team to effectively investigate, review and capture fraud, finance threats, organised crime, money laundering and Politically Exposed Persons / Special Interest Persons.

The role of Customer Due Diligence Team Leader is really important to us. You will be responsible for:

- Proactively engage with key stakeholders, including the Financial Crime/Financial Crime Risk Oversight team to improve, scale and further develop the KYC framework and its standards within the group business lines.
- Processing policy escalation requests from CDD onboarding to ongoing due diligence and providing practical policy advice and guidance to the CDD team, first line colleagues and senior managers.
- Providing training materials to the CDD team and providing training to first line functions.
- Supporting the FCRO team by transforming KYC regulatory changes into new processes, whilst also ensuring all stakeholders are informed of the impacts and potential challenges.
- Creation and management of the business lines Standard Operating Procedures.
- Careful management with the FCRO team and senior managers of the banks commercial appetite against the policy/regulatory framework in the bank.
- Creating, managing, and developing key CDD information in Excel.
- Presenting CDD statistics and at the relevant business line risk committees.

- Strong and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and data entry accuracy
- Prior knowledge of customer due diligence policy (AML, Fraud, Sanctions / PEPs) and understanding of business structures
- Embraces and proactively promotes Continuous Improvement Culture.
- Ability to deal with multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to successfully interface with business users, IT, and third-parties to determine functional requirements.
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Good team player who is proactive in their work.
