**Senior Financial Accountant - Temporary position on going for around 6 months.Hybrid or Remote position but must be an hour from London or Fleet, Hants.**
As Senior Financial Accountant, your responsibilities will include overseeing end-to-end finance operations, financial planning and analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, looking to make improvements to procedures and controls, as well as ad-hoc projectsand requests as required.
**Role responsibilities**:
Reporting to CFO, this role will also involve working as part of a busy team and liaising with colleagues from other departments as well as:

- Supporting the Head of Finance Operations in overseeing and controlling all financial aspects of the organization
- Maintaining and managing the financial records ensuring compliance with the best practice and the maintenance of reliable systems of internal control
- Recommending and implementing measures to improve efficiency in transaction processing and to be proactive in developing the use of systems to improve efficiency and service
- Advising on technical accounting, compliance and tax related matters
- Being a key point of contact for other departments on financial and accounting matters
- Support to Month end preparations including review of results, assisting with commentaries on variances and any other month end tasks that may arise
- Liaising with auditors and preparation of the audit pack
- Preparation of Statutory Accounts
- Engagement in the annual budget process
- Provide support and to engage with European team of Management accounting and Financial accounting in regards to reporting and analysis
- Assisting with the preparation of year-end accounts and statutory accounts
- Perform other duties as required by the CFO
**Experience, Skills and Qualifications**:

- A professionally qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA) with a minimum of 5 years PQE
- Experience in Practice desired
- Experience in both domestic and foreign VAT
- Good communications skills in English, both oral and written. Must be able to communicate effectively in a succinct and constructive manner
- Highly numerate with strong IT skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, whilst able to identify and prioritize key issues, within the context of meeting accounting and reporting deadlines
- Proven ability of working under pressure
- Experience of SAP desirable
