Established over 40 years ago my client are experts in direct and transactional mail. Based at their Birmingham site, they are currently seeking an experienced Engineer to maintain their range of insertion equipment.

**You must be able to commit to working day shifts either 7am to 3.30pm or 9am to 5.30pm. During peak times you may be required to have some flexibility around these hours to support the requirements of the production department.**

**The Role**
- Checking machinery output as defined by company procedures, ensuring machines are operating at optimum performance levels
- Fault finding and repairing issues as quickly as possible to ensure mínimal disruption
- To work closely with machine operators to understand any performance issues so these can be rectified
- To resolve / inform others of machinery maintenance issues and to escalate further where required
- Any other ad-hoc duties as required by the role

**The Person**
- Has a strong technical understanding of parts, components, and operating insertion machinery
- Can work well independently as well as in a team
- Has a proactive approach to work - always willing to learn and working to improve processes to ensure business efficiency
- Can communicate effectively and build rapport with all departments across the business and with external suppliers
- Be flexible with their attitude towards work
