**WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING**

Santander Consumer Finance is one of the UKs Leading Motor Finance companies and we are currently looking for a Head of Pricing and Remarketing, Contract Hire (14 month fixed term contract).

Reporting to the Finance Director, the purpose of this key management position is to lead SCUK’s pricing and remarketing team in delivering its commercial and financial objectives through developing and defining the contract hire pricing and SMR functions, delivering the Contract Hire residual value setting methodology and implementation as well as managing the de-fleet and remarketing strategy for the Contract Hire fleet. Operating within the overall business framework established between the organisation’s Commercial, Risk and Finance departments, whilst managing key internal and external stakeholders.

This role is considered a certified role under the Senior Managers and Certification Regime

**Responsibilities will include**:
**Strategic Planning**:Lead the delivery of SCUK’s contract hire pricing and remarketing strategies with specific focus on establishing an approach that will deliver on the organisation’s overall Commercial, Risk and Financial objectives each calendar year. Direct the contract hire residual value setting and SMR forecasting methodology and deliver a solution that mitigates RV and SMR risk, whilst maintaining competitive rentals in the market.

**Operational Planning and Delivery**:Based on the documented strategic plan, lead and manage activity that will optimise profitability and volume whilst also delivering a balanced asset portfolio through the ongoing review of pricing and the delivery of effective quarterly Marketing campaigns. Direct the CH pricing strategy for OEM tenders, new product proposals, and innovative pricing solutions for upcoming market trends such as flexi-lease and subscription models. Identify RV and SMR setting process requirements for new product implementations including used contract hire, subscription models, and renewal programmes. Overseeing the day-to-day operational delivery of SCUK’s contract hire remarketing strategy within documented KPIs and optimising profit on disposal.

**Budgetary Control**:Define and manage the delivery of all pricing and remarketing activity in line with prescribed budgets, through ongoing review and monitoring of activities and costs.

**Stakeholder and Relationship Management**:Establish a sound working relationship with external stakeholders including data providers, SanUK, outsourced service providers, remarketing and de-fleet suppliers, and existing and future potential OEM partners. Assume responsibility for developing and maintaining effective and ongoing relationships with relevant SCUK stakeholders within all business functions, including specifically the Commercial, Risk and Finance divisions, as well as with the organisation’s Senior Management Team.

**Team Management**:Lead and develop the CH pricing and remarketing teams, through documenting a set of clear, well-communicated objectives and through on-going direction, coaching and guidance of staff, as necessary.

**Risk and Financial Management**:Work in conjunction with SCUK’s Risk and Finance functions to ensure business performance is optimised whilst operating within the organisation’s established Risk appetite and targeted Financial goals.

**Insight and continuous improvement**:Through utilising appropriate insight (industry, business, customer and technological), drive continual improvement and help to differentiate SCUK’s contract hire offering and defleet channels to generate added value to the organisation’s Customers, OEM partners and Dealers.

**Compliance**:Ensure all activities conducted by the pricing and remarketing functions are carried out in a compliant manner from a legal, regulatory and business perspective, with specific focus on ensuring sustainability and driving good customer outcomes, aligned to the organisation’s overall values of Simple, Personal and Fair.

**Governance and Regulatory**: Ensure all activity is carried out in line with SCUK’s governance framework and in line with regulatory business principles. Deal with or escalate any identified risks in relation to Santander Consumer risk policies and/or legislative and regulatory guidelines in accordance with the Santander UK group risk framework.
