Team working for a local authority trading company wholly owned by
Canterbury City Council.

Canterbury Environment Company are seeking operatives to deliver a professional grounds maintenance and civil works service across the Canterbury District.

You will be expected to carry out a range of duties and have a basic
experience of ground works, drainage, concreting, brickwork, paving,
tarmacking hand lay, multi-trade skills. NPORS & SWQR preferrable.Driving licence and CPC essential. You will report any matters affecting delivery to the chargehand/supervisor, undertake vehicle and plant exterior and interior washing and cleaning as well as daily vehicle and plant checks, ensuring that any defects are reported.

You will be expected to work outdoors in all weathers and have good
communication skills. It is important that you have a friendly manner
towards the public, a neat and tidy appearance and be willing to work as part of a team.

Working hours are between 07:00 and 15:30 Monday - Thursday, 07:00 and 14:30 on Fridays, 39 hours per week guaranteed and overtime may be available.

In return, we offer a full-time contract with guaranteed hours and
company benefits including a pension scheme. You will undertake a
comprehensive induction and full uniform and PPE will be provided.
