This is an exciting and varied opportunity in which you will be working for a renowned brand within the horticulture industry, driving the Hillier vision of being the first choice for top quality plants and trees. As ambassadors for the Hillier brand, our teams are focused on delivering an outstanding customer experience.
A Grower will be responsible for managing an area of the nursery with the support of the Head Grower.
This position is being offered on a full-time permanent basis of 39 hours a week (Monday to Friday). During busy periods additional hours will be required and weekend irrigation cover on a rota.

**Abou you**:
- Previous experience in Nursery stock production
- Willingness to learn and knowledge of growing techniques, irrigation, pest and disease and peat free production.
- Demonstrate a professional, enthusiastic and flexible approach supporting colleagues and other areas of the business.
- Responsive to challenges and demonstrating a ‘can do’ approach.
- Able to work with energy, pace and passion.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Irrigation management of ‘Peat Free production’.
- Pest and disease monitoring, with the ‘Technical Team’.
- Crop work & jobs list, with the ’Head Grower’.
- Lifting plants for orders.
- Managing a team when in area.
- Accurate records for stock control.
- Maintaining excellent hygiene standards.
- Improving crop quality and reducing wastage.
