Based in the town of Camborne, an area rich in heritage and well known for its links with Richard Trevithick’s steam carriage and mining past, this is an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant and forward-thinking team of Officers and Town Clerk in helping to shape and style the direction of the town council, responding to the needs of the local community.

As part of this full-time position, you will be a hard-working member of the Senior Management Team supporting the Town Clerk in their key areas. The post holder will effectively manage the Amenities Team and other staff engaged in provision of Amenities services.

The post holder will lead on Health and Safety support for Town Council staff and Members. They will be expected to manage site safety, record keeping, well-being and development of their team. To lead on best practices, ensuring all facilities are accessible for all the community. Work with the Town Clerk and other Senior Managers to ensure all facilities, assets and office spaces are fit for purpose.

You will advise and assist with the formation of annual plans for our Green Spaces including the development of systems and procedures for effective service delivery of amenities operations. You will also assist with budgets for amenities, premises and projects and develop the green spaces within the Town Council, utilising the skills of the Amenities Team.

The post holder will have a management qualification and completed IOSH or NEBOSH training or be able to show evidence of working in an operations and amenities management role with significant responsibility including effective team management skills, analytical report writing and managing of contracts. The post holder will hold a current driving licence and a willingness to attend monthly evening meetings.
