As an office and accounts assistant with our well established and busy client, you will be an integral part of their customer service and accounts team, ensuring that their customers receive outstanding service and assistance, and accounting records are kept accurate and up to date.

Your role will include communicating with clients and suppliers, coordinating appointments, preparing estimates and invoices, as well as preparing payment for suppliers and reconciling accounts.

**Responsibilities**:

- Welcome customers with a friendly and professional manner
- Coordinate service and MOT appointments effectively and efficiently
- Preparation of estimates and invoices for customer repairs and maintenance
- Maintain accurate client records and ensure all follow up documentation is delivered in a timely manner
- Bookkeeping duties
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Payment allocations and reconciliation
- Processing of cash and card transactions
- Ensuring accurate input of supplier invoices and processing payment run on a monthly basis

**Requirements**:

- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build and establish a positive working relationship with clients
- Experience working in a fast-paced, busy environment whilst maintaining accuracy and efficiency
- Previous experience in an accounts role is essential
- Previous experience in automotive industry is preferrable
- Excellent multi-tasking and time management skills, allowing you to move seamlessly between numerous tasks
- Self-motivated attitude and ability to work on own initiative
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, ensuring accuracy at all times

**Salary**: £25,000 - £28,000 per year
