Argyll Resources Group is a well-established, reputable, family-owned group of companies that has an enviable track record of delivering first-class customer service. We are currently seeking to recruit a Site Operative to join our Oban team.

This role will involve use of plant and machinery associated with our quarrying and waste transfer operations. This role would suit a practical and industrious individual looking for a varied and responsible position which involves both the hands-on operation of plant and also sales and administration. You will be responsible for completing basic sales and delivery paperwork and keeping accurate records of goods in and out of site. When required you will also be responsible for assisting in the loading of customer and company vehicles using a range of load-handling equipment.

The role involves:

- Operation of quarry and waste processing machinery including but not limited to loading shovels, mechanical grabs, 360 excavators and other such plant.
- Carrying out basic routine checks and maintenance on such machinery.
- Assisting with the processing of material in both the quarry and waste transfer station.
- Completion of basic paperwork such as waste and quarry tickets.

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Oban: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
