**Bottling Operator**

Asahi UK are looking for a Bottling Operator to join our team based at our Griffin Brewery in Chsiwick, West London.

The **Bottling Operator** will be part of the process team to prepare bottling lines for production, operate and change over machinery, as well as completing all appropriate documentation and storeage of finished bottle beer product.

**Key Accountabilities**

The Bottling Operator is responsible for the following key outputs and accountabilities:
Packaging Performance
- As a member of the process team perform various functions associated with the start up, operating, change over and shut down of the bottling line.
- Maintenance of a safe, clean, efficient & accurate working environment
- Report and escalate safety, quality or machine issues arising on the line in a timely manner
- Complete all process and policy documentation.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Area Technition

Health & Safety
- Align to our goal of zero accidents in the work place.
- Adherence to all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Responsible for your own safety and of those around you.
- Identify and report hazards / unsafe practices to your team leader to get them resolved quickly and safely.

Quality
- Ensure every product is packaged to outlined procedures from start up to shutdown to achieve the highest level of quality and food safety.
- Perform appropriate line checks (including CCP’s) to set frequencies and
- Accurate completion of all production paperwork.
- Escalate any quality issues immediately to the line manager.

Housekeeping and Hygiene
- Keep all production areas clean, tidy and free from hazards (e.g. slips and trips) at all times.
- Perform CIP’s and sterilisations.
- Execute the weekly cleaning plans to a high standard
- Maintain a good level of personal hygiene.

Additional standards
- Assist engineers with maintenance of the lines where required.
- Effective recording of machine downtime to identify improvement areas and drive efficiency.
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and help out during internal and external audits.
- Assist in the completion of monthly stock checks.
- Operate Fork Lift Trucks

Experience and Attributes Required of the Successful Person
- Recognised certification of Fork Lift Truck operation.
- Good communication skills both written and verbal.
- Strong IT skills - excel and SAP experience would be advantageous.
- Prior experience in packaging processes is advantageous.
- Problem solving and the ability to diagnose issues is a key area.
- Ability to work within a team environment.
- Knowledge of the basic HACCP requirements.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Practical hands on approach.
- Attention to detail with a desire to produce the best products and not taking short cuts which could compromise safety and quality.
