Builder/bricklayer

**About the role**:
To work as part of a team assisting in the delivery of the Councils Responsive Maintenance Service by carrying out repair and maintenance work on domestic dwellings and related assets. The post may include undertaking works to Powys Corporate owned properties which may include Schools, Offices and Public Toilets. This includes work normally accepted within the building industry as that of a Carpenter as well as work which by “normal definition” is that of other trade(s) which may reasonably be expected of any competent person engaged in building maintenance activities.

**About you**:

- NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying or Plastering or equivalent
- Ability to deal in an understanding way with members of the public, and other staff members
- Ability to work alone, or as part of a team
- Ability and willingness to co-operate with coordinating staff as directed
- Full driving license
- Standard DBS Check
- Prepared to work Out of Hours on a rota system

**What you will do**:

- Building maintenance to domestic housing including plastering, bricklaying, paths and floors
- Use operating systems and software in relation to attending scheduled jobs
- To carry out basic tasks normally associated with other trades that would reasonably be expected of any competent person engaged in building maintenance
- To participate in mandatory out of hours call out rota

**Salary**: £27,803.00-£29,777.00 per year
