We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operative/Engineering Operative for our client who are a specialist manufacturer of parts to the automotive and aerospace industries.

This position operates on a rotating 06.00-14.00 / 13.45-21.45 shift pattern, Monday to Friday, and the hourly rate is £12.83 per hour inclusive of 17.5% shift allowance

A night shift is also available Monday to Thursday 9.30pm to 6.15am, paying £14.52 per hour, inclusive of 33% shift allowance.

**Duties & Responsibilities will include**:

- Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality
- Prepare and operate CNC machinery for tasks such as milling and grinding
- Understand specifications and able to read mechanical drawings.
- Programme instructions
- Prepare materials
- Complete tests to ensure the machines produces the correct outputs according to specifications
- Set machines to complete full cycles
- Monitor the machines, making any necessary adjustments to produce a better result
- Inspect and measure finished products
- Operate CMM Machines to verify integrity of parts produced previous on CNC Machines

**Essential skills/experience**:

- Knowledge & use of CMM Machines along with CMM Results & Reports
- Knowledge, use & control of Calibrated Inspection Gauges & Fixtures
- Ability to Read Engineering/Technical Drawings
- Understanding of Dimensions & tolerances
- Good Problem Solving Skills
- Pride in quality of work produced
- Aspiration to develop & learn new skills
- Understanding of Lean, 5S & TPM
