Our client one of the UK's leading providers of on-campus residential and academic accommodation infrastructure are looking for a Residence Manager to join their Team.
We are looking for people who can commit to starting in January 2023 for an 18-month contract so there's a total of £1,500 loyalty bonus available, with payments made throughout your contract
Location: Leeds

**Salary**: £32,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
This is an important role which is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities at the designated residences including delivery of soft services and ensuring adherence to the stipulated Service Level Agreement.
You will also provide a comprehensive, effective, and efficient service for the customer, in line with Company objectives, whilst maintaining a highly customer orientated ethos amongst all staff towards all internal and external customers.
This will include:

- Dealing with residents, delegates, contractors, and visitors in an efficient and professional manner.
- Promoting a culture of customer service excellence within the team.
- Dealing with enquiries and complaints effectively, escalating them as necessary and promptly to the relevant manager.
- Supervising, recruiting, inducting, training and appraising the Cleaning and Front of House staff as well as the monitoring of performance, training records and carrying out 1:1 meetings as required.
- Reviewing and implementing site procedures, ensuring service standards are achieved in line with the SLA's and maintaining relevant records.
- Dealing with student enquiries and managing a programme of room checks.
- Carrying out regular inspections of the accommodation and reporting any maintenance defects. Reporting any investigating incidents and accidents as they occur.
- Maintaining and adhering to the Health and Safety at Work Act provisions in all duties undertaken.
- Providing cover for the Deputy General Managers as required.
- Work additional hours with reasonable notice as and when the need arises, especially during open days and the main student arrival and departure weekends
- Respond to callouts in an emergency situation out of normal working office hours and participate in a management escalation rota
Our ideal applicant will have/be;
- Excellent people skills with demonstrable experience within managing multi-discipline teams within a hospitality, facilities management or residential environment.
- Knowledge and understanding of financial management and reporting, health and safety legislation, statutory H&S testing, and experience of long term planning and overseeing day to day operations.
- Experience of managing residential properties or a similar FM environment, focusing on creating a "safety culture".
- Good conversational standard of the English language and an ability to read and interpret our Health & Safety guidance.
