**Domestic Cleaning Supervisor**

**Band 3 - £11.67/hr (Weekdays) - £15.75/hr (Saturdays) - £19.72/hr (Sundays)**

**30 hours per week -Monday to Sunday on a forward rota - Core hours 08.00-14.00 and 12.00-18.00 - Must be flexible to work either shift any 5 days from 7 per week as required.**

**Based at Meadowbrook Unit, Salford Royal Hospital M6 8HG.**

GMMH are looking for a full time **Domestic Cleaning Supervisor** to work at The Meadowbrook Unit on Stott Lane, Salford M6 8HG, starting immediately.

**Job Overview**

The Domestic Supervisor will be covering a variety of duties which include:

- Assist the Deputy facilities manager effectively manage the housekeeping department.
- Maintain and improve the standard of the overall environment and services within the Department.
- Together with the Team Leaders they will ensure that, Patient, staff environments are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards, and that the services to patients and staff provided via the department are provided effectively and efficiently.
- Provide effective senior support to a group of staff and will require the appropriate people, co-ordination, communication and collaborative skills to undertake this task effectively.
- Assist the Team leader in providing a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors and colleagues.
- Work flexibly to respond to the needs of the service and the department, which operates on multiple sites on a 7 day a week, 365 days a year basis.

**The skills required are**:

- The post holder will be a motivated and enthusiastic person who will have the necessary skills to support and effectively Supervise the Domestics.
- The post holder will require knowledge of Health and Safety, COSHH and Infection Prevention strategies relating to standards of hospital cleanliness such as Personal Protective Equipment and Colour Coding
- Good level of IT skills
- Experience of managing staff
- Cleaning experience
- Reliability

- Perform general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and break areas
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
- Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors
- Maintain cleanliness of common areas, such as hallways and lobbies
- Follow established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor
- Adhere to health and safety regulations

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial work is preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks
- Good physical stamina for standing, bending, and lifting throughout the shift
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors
