Wotton Lawn Hospital is an Acute Mental Health Hospital situated near the centre of Gloucester and provides inpatient services for the county of Gloucestershire.

The hospital has four admission wards, a Nurse led Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and a Low Secure Unit (LSU).

We now have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic part time Receptionist to join our administration team; the Receptionist must be able and willing to work in a very busy environment where priorities change on a daily basis, have excellent interpersonal skills and willing to embrace change. Although primarily based in Wotton Lawn the post holder may, on occasions, be required to work across other sites as the needs of the service dictate.

The post is a 15 hours per week role over 2 days, Thursday and Friday, incorporating 2 shift patterns on a rolling 2 week rota and includes some evening shifts until10pm.

This post requires the post holder to be able to undertake all statutory and mandatory trainingand post holders must be able to undertake physical interventions. Fitness for physical intervention will be assessed by Occupational Health.
- To provide reception, clerical and administration duties, maintaining an efficient and friendly service to patients, relatives and visitors
- The post holder will work under indirect supervision and will directly contribute to and Co-ordinate the efficient running of the service.
- To project the professional image of the trust through demonstrating excellent customer care in all activities
- To adopt a constantly flexible approach to ensure that all individual and team objectives are completed efficiently and within given timescale
- To maintain confidentiality at all times
- To build and manage effective and strong relationships and communications with external providers
- To immediately inform the Line Manager of any issues affecting service delivery
- Maintain adequate stock levels of all stationery used within the department
- Ensure the franking machine is functional at all times
- Ensure all visitors/contractors have ID and have signed in/out of the building
- Scanning/laminating and filing of documents when requested
