**Construction / Ductwork Trainee Estimator**who is keen to learn about providing accurate quotations for commercial ductwork installations within public and private sector building projects is required for a specialist company based in Loughborough,Leicestershire, East Midlands.

**NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED - FULL TRAINING PROVIDED**

Although you do not need any previous experience you will need to have excellent communication, administrative, organisational and time-management skills. You will also need to be numerate with a **good understanding of Maths** and keen to learn about the business, the products and how to estimate the cost of works accurately.

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Construction / Ductwork Trainee Estimator who is keen to learn about providing accurate quotations for commercial ductwork installations within public and private sector building projects.

**WHAT ARE DUCTWORKS**

Ductworks are conduits or passages used in heating, ventilation and air conditioning to deliver and remove air. A duct system is also called ductwork and is used in most commercial and some residential buildings.

Working as the Construction / Ductwork Trainee Estimator you will be trained on how to estimate project timelines, materials required, costs etc. Once trained you will liaise directly with customers, providing accurate quotations.

As the Construction / Ductwork Trainee Estimator you will also be involved with general office administration so you will need good administrative skills and be PC literate with the ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel.

**DUTIES**

Your duties as theConstruction / Ductwork Trainee Estimator include:

- Receive and log customer quotation enquiries
- Where required, contact the customer to discuss the quote before estimating to ensure that requirements and specification are accurately interpreted
- Create quotations in line with Company processes
- Liaise with suppliers and internal stores to ascertain material pricing
- Understand and work within company margin requirements
- Return pricing to customers as required
- Follow up submitted quotes
- On contract award, manage hand over of all quotations and supporting information to the relevant Contract Manager and support during contract mobilisation as required
- Liaise with customers/sites/operations where necessary to resolve scheduling queries
- Accompany senior members of staff to site meetings
- Attend training events and meetings with clients
- General office administration duties

**CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS**
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Numerate with a good understanding of Maths
- Good administrative skills
- PC literate with the ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Willing to learn new skills
