You will have experience of managing a learning function and will be able to demonstrate innovative ways of creating and delivering learning across a geographically spread organisation.

**Main duties of the job**

**The Head of Education and Training has responsibility for delivery of key aspects of the NHS People Plan including; growing our future workforce and new ways of working. This includes identifying strategic system wide opportunities to develop and grow our workforce working with our partners across the Devon system.**

The post holder is also responsible for leading and managing the practice education and training function which is responsible for developing, implementing and performance monitoring a comprehensive range of learning and development activities for all staff to ensure that the Trust has a skilled, motivated and engaged workforce that enables the organisation of realising its aim of becoming a centre of excellence.
