We try to bring teams together regularly for social and team events so occasional travel may be required.

**The Role**

This is a great opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join the business at a pivotal stage of growth. As Finance Assistant you will be working closely with the Financial Controller to manage all areas across finance from compliance work, financial accounting and reporting, credit control, financial modelling, and supporting the wider business. The role provides plenty of exposure to a variety of areas across finance and would suit an individual who is driven and comfortable working in a fast paced environment.

**This is a permanent role for a part time position between 3-4 days per week.**

Key responsibilities include:

- Maintaining accurate and up to date accounting records
- Managing group accounting and tax compliance for our UK and Italian entities
- Purchase ledger management
- VAT and payroll management
- Month end procedures and assist with management accounts
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Business partnering with key departments
- Assist with board and shareholder reporting
- Assist with preparation of annual financial statements
- Liaising with auditors to complete annual audit procedures
- Implement and improve internal processes and controls**
**Essential skills**
- Minimum of 3 years working in a similar finance related role
- Qualified / part qualified accountant with a recognised accountancy qualification (e.g. AAT/ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Good understanding of basic accounting principles
- Strong Excel skills
- Competent with cloud-based accounting packages e.g. Xero
- High attention to detail with good organisation skills

**Desirable skills**:

- Previous experience working in a start-up or SaaS business
- Knowledge of UK Corporation Tax and R&D claims
- Previous experience in international group reporting
- Previous experience dealing with accounting and tax compliance in Italy
- Good understanding of accounting standards under IFRS
