Play Worker

Job Title: Play Worker

**Duties**:

- Supervise and engage children in various play activities
- Create a safe and stimulating environment for children to learn and play
- Plan and organize age-appropriate games, crafts, and activities
- Assist with meal times and ensure children are following proper hygiene practices
- Monitor and address any behavioural issues or conflicts that may arise
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a positive and inclusive play environment
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and any necessary documentation

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working with children in a childcare or recreational setting
- Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate activities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff members
- Ability to maintain a calm and patient demeanor in high-energy situations
- Reliable and punctual with the ability to follow schedules and routines
- Paediatric First certification is preferred but not required

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 6-15 per week

**Salary**: £10.49 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Dagenham: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Childcare: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent in childcare (required)
