This is an exciting time to join our Hotel team, as we embark on our five-year vision to be a world-leading hospitality destination.

We are looking for a skilled and professional Maintenance Assistant to support us in achieving our vision, by providing a high standard of maintenance services to the Hotel and Conference Centre, in particular maintaining the high-quality décor of our guest bedrooms, public areas, conference rooms and food & beverage areas.

The main duties expected in the role include:

- Provide a high standard of maintenance within all areas of the hotel and conference centre, adhering to the specified standards at all times.
- Carry out weekly, monthly and quarterly compliance checks in line with Hotel requirements
- Transport items within the hotel (including collecting items from local suppliers, either on foot or in a company vehicle) ensuring this is carried out correctly and efficiently, maintaining a high level of service to the customer at all times.
- Adhere to the correct use and storage of all chemicals, materials and equipment within the department, in accordance with COSHH regulations.
- Support with out of hours calls
- Adhere to security procedures regarding guest belongings and securing bedrooms.
- Regular PAT testing of all electrical items.
- Communicate guest feedback to the Maintenance Manager by the correct process.

You should have previous experience as a Maintenance Assistant, ideally in a similar environment, be flexible and able to successfully work as part of a team. Alongside this, you should be able to demonstrate your commitment to delivering exceptional guest service.

Hours of work are 40 hours per week, including weekend working on a rota basis.

The Hotel reserves the right to close the vacancy early, should it be successful in recruiting suitable applicants.
