Concierge (Nights)

**Additional Salary information: Plus 10% night workers allowance**

Portsmouth Homeless Family Service is based across three residential Lifehouses accommodating a total of 45 homeless, vulnerable families (which included couples, single parents and pregnant mothers) with support needs. We also support 32 families living in Local Authority Sublet tenancies and a further 14 families living in other housing.

**Key Responsibilities**:The role of Night Concierge is a lone working position. You will provide assistance with Housing Management functions in our Lifehouse Service and you will be the first point of contact for everyone accessing our Lifehouse. You will manage a busy front office and will deal with telephone and face to face enquires from Residents, Visitors and Professionals. You will also be required to complete cleaning duties, patrols of the centre, keeping accurate logging in/out records and taking any messages
- GCSE’s including English and Maths (or equivalent)
- Knowledge of Health and Safety and Safeguarding of Clients and Staff
- Experience of managing a busy front office environment including dealing with telephone and face to face enquires.
- Excellent customer service and people management skills.
- Excellent planning, organising and time management skills.
- Skills in IT use including Microsoft.
- Will be able to work within the ethos of The Salvation Army with regard to delivering services to vulnerable people without discrimination

- COSHH Certificate
- Experience of working with vulnerable clients in a supportive setting
