We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Cardiac Rehabilitation Exercise Instructor to join our expanding Cardiology service within Epsom and St Helier hospitals. You will work within a passionate and friendly cardiac rehabilitation team providing excellent core cardiac rehabilitation to patients following MI, revascularisation and heart failure.

An integral part of the multidisciplinary team, the exercise specialist will work closely with patients to empower them to improve their exercise capacity and reduce their Cardiac risk factors. The role includes individualised patient assessment, delivering individual and group education, and supporting patients through group classes and 1:1 exercise programmes. The ideal post holder must have excellent communication skills, be a team player, be extremely organised, work well under pressure, have general IT skills and have an ability to work flexibly.

The expectations within this job description will be met through hands-on practice,
education and training and research.

The post holder will work within the established cardiac rehabilitation team to deliver
and support high-quality cardiac rehabilitation programmes for patients with a wide
range of cardiovascular conditions through individualised patient assessments,
formal cardiac rehabilitation exercise classes and 1:1 exercise programmes.
The post holder will support the standards of clinical practice, in conjunction with the
multidisciplinary team.

Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust provides a range of medical services to approximately 490,000 people living across southwest London and northeast Surrey. In addition, we provide more specialist services, in particular renal and neonatal intensive care, to a wider area, covering parts of Sussex and Hampshire.
