Purpose of Job: Supervise work activities of cleaning personnel to ensure clean, orderly, and attractive rooms in the hotel. Assign duties, inspect work, and investigate complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment and take corrective action.

**Main Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Undertakes any job such as public area cleaner tasks as to when required
- Assisting all guests in a sincere and courteous manner, and whenever possible going that extra mile to ensure the guest has 100% satisfaction
- Ensures rooms are fully checked for cleanliness daily. Ensures agreed standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained in all bedrooms in accordance with correct procedures
- Acts as the Head Housekeeper in his/her absence
- To ensure agreed standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained in all public areas
- Promotes a positive image of the property to guests and must be pleasant, honest, and friendly and should also able to address guest requests and problems.
- Develops and maintains positive and productive working relationships with the rest of the team and other colleagues
- Carry out lost property procedures in line with company standards
- Resolves any guest problems or complaints when possible and ensures management are kept informed
- Actions any maintenance requests in order to comply with the hotel’s established quality standards and ensure guest satisfaction and reports equipment faults to the General Manager. Updates Opera accordingly to ensure all faults are logged
- To attend all relevant training as and when required
- To show willingness to take on additional responsibilities when necessary
- To undertake special duties or work outside the normal daily/weekly routine but within the overall scope of the position at the request of your Line Manager/General Manager
- To follow C.O.S.H.H guidelines at all times
- To be fully conversant with the procedures for Fire, security, Health and Safety and Health and Hygiene
- To represent The Hotel and Group in a professional manner at all times
- To comply with standards of grooming and personal hygiene
- To report for duty at the correct time as per rota, in the specified uniform, ensuring a high standard of appearance at all times
- To attend Hotel and Departmental Meetings as required, ensuring effective communication at all levels
- To maintain all company policies and procedures
- Required to be highly self-motivated, enthusiastic and willing to be flexible to achieve desired outcomes

- Observe and adhere to the companies’ policies and procedures, undergoing relevant training and development to fulfil the requirements of the Company and the post.
