We currently have a fantastic apprenticeship opportunity to join the _To The Rise Bakery_ team.
The nature of the industry requires commitment and enthusiasm from the individual who can work within a team and manage early morning work patterns - initially beginning at 6.00am but importantly an anticipated earlier 5am start after the completion of the apprenticeship.
It will be a demanding but rewarding role within a busy, challenging but passionate environment; and so, a high level of professional standard and presentation is required.
Training will be at Plumpton College, so please consider how you will commute to and from the college once a week.
Standard Hours - Wednesday to Sunday, 05.00am - 13:00pm.

- **What will the apprentice be doing?**_
Reporting to the Director
Key responsibilities range from:
- Preparing work areas
- Preparing tins, greasing and getting the correct number ready
- Scraping trays, loading racks, traying up bakery products
- Weighing up recipes and mixing dough
- Lifting 25kg flour sacks and dough tubs
- Scaling off dough pieces and hand molding various shapes and sizes
- Assist on the production of patisserie goods and other sweet pastries.
- Assisting other bakers
- Clean up in the bakery.
- Other duties as and when required.
- **Training Provider: Plumpton College**_
Plumpton College is a dedicated training provider in the heart of the South Downs. With expertise in the Land, Food and Environment sectors, Plumpton provides a wealth of knowledge to its apprentices.
Baking apprentices will be able to utilise our state of the art baking equipment in the new 'Agri-food' building from February 2023, which features master-chef style ovens.
Apprentices will train at Plumpton once a week.

- Apprenticeship Certificate (L2 Bakery)
- Level 2 Certificate in Baking Industry Skills
- Level 1 maths and English (if applicable)
