**Head of Data - 40% Hybrid/ Bishops Stortford -£75k + 10% Bonus + 26 days holiday**

**Can you provide leadership, recommend and support decision-making to continuously improve data strategy and technical improvements? **

**Why does our client need you?**
- To shape and define data strategy and technical developments.
- To lead and project manage technical development projects.
- You will manage the customer database and be responsible for developing and using all database software and tools for maximising value from the customer database segmentation.
- They need you to ensure campaign data is available to ensure smooth operations and recommend continuous improvement.
- As part of the Senior Management Team, you will report directly to the Commercial Director whilst managing and inspiring a friendly and committed team of Junior Developers, Online Merchandisers, and a Customer Data Analyst.

Our client, an established eCommerce business, offers its customers "function-led" products, many of which are their inventions, idea and/or design.

**Responsibilities:

- **
- Lead data analysis, management, extraction, cleansing, manipulation, migration and warehousing
- Identify trends and develop data insight reports.
- Lead and project manage technical developments to provide continuous improvement.
- Manage performance, functionality and development of the eCommerce platform
- Maintaining customer database accuracy and ensuring campaign mailing files are accurate.
- Overseeing and directing the relationships with suppliers
- Continuously driving performance improvements and cost efficiencies with significant suppliers.
- Responsible for the costs of the Data platform, eCommerce platform and associated software and tools.
- Ensure the Data and Technical Development team supports the rest of the business areas.
- Create and disseminate customer insights to enable data to lead decision-making around the business.

**Knowledge & Skills Required**:

- SQL - good working knowledge and experience of SQL
- Working knowledge of Python and data visualisation tools such as Power BI
- Proven track record in managing significant eCommerce platforms
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale technical developments on time and within budget
- Experience in system integration and ETL
- Project management
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Leadership and Motivation Skills
- Problem-solving and ability to make things happen
