**Job Role**: Production Operator

**Hours**: Monday to Friday / 09:00 - 17:00

**Salary**: £21,642 per annum

**Role Type**: Permanent

**About the job**:
The role of the Production Operator is to contribute to the smooth running of the Production Department. Cooperating with the Production Manager and working as part of a team you will receive schedules and carry out production activity to meet deadlines agreed. You will take part in a proactive program of machine maintenance in accordance with current company requirements.

**Responsibilities**:

- In-house production and operation of production machinery, including personalisation equipment, foil printing, slot punching, thermal printing, bottling packaging requirements where appropriate, always working to agreed schedules
- Setting up of production machinery with correct job profile under guidance from the Production Manager
- Work to pre-determined quality standards at all times in adherence to production procedures
- Record production activity on company systems in place, in accordance with current policy
- Adherence to company procedures, accreditations and standards in all areas, including quality control, security, auditing and processing
- Assist colleagues within the Production Department and the Warehouse & Dispatch Department as necessary
- Perform preventative maintenance as and when instructed too, record activity on maintenance logs, reporting any issues found immediately to Production Management
- Support machine engineers on preventative / call out visits ensuring the machine is operational as much as possible
- Maximise efficiencies of production equipment by working smart, proactively working on increasing efficiencies and ensuring the department is working at its maximum capacity at all times

**Other important responsibilities**:

- Fulfil key holder duties as directed by management
- Attend daily production meeting, reporting any issues and concerns with set daily work
- Support company visitors in showcasing the working area
- Attend team and company meetings as published schedule and directed
- Record & submit daily activity on time-sheet
- Achieve personal KPI targets
- Participate in company-arranged training courses where directed
- Maintain an orderly, organised working environment leaving it tidy at end of each day
- Work to agreed hours, using company attendance system
- Flexibilty to change working hours as and when required to ensure production output is made
- Maintain excellent relationships within the company and support colleagues and co-management as a team player with a positive, can do attitude, utilizing your experience to work towards overall team success
- Comply with company Health & Safety Policies at all times
- Protect organisation’s value by keeping company information confidential

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £21,642.00 per year
